Fred Warr, well known London UK Harley dealer, died in August 2022 aged 93. He was a founder in 1949 of the Harley Riders Club of Great Britain, and one of the early post-war importers of Harleys. His shop in Kings Road Chelsea used to show rebuilt Harley WLA/WLC 45s, then later models, then merchandise. He was a hard core rider, and a believer that if a part fits then it's OK, and could not believe I would pick out the early kicker pedal bolts or the cadmium plated tank top screws from an ammunition box full of mixed old stock. After he retired, he had enough parts to build more bikes and assemblies, and his one-day parts sales put a lot of nos items back in circulation. In recent years he suffered from motor neurone disease, but still kept up correspondence with his many customers. We'll miss him.
