This is a fantasy sign. It is not a reproduction because it never existed. Sold at swap meets for 10/15 bucks. Yet foolish people on eBay pay hundreds for it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/11518418708...0AAOSw-jhhiz0t

Sigmund Freud was asked "Doctor, your work has helped thousands of people, but why do you charge so much money?"
"Because they have no way to evaluate my assistance, except for how painful it is to pay for it".

My wife and I antique weekly and it’s amazing how these repo signs and other fake nostalgia have invaded antique stores. Even higher end stores are littered with this stuff being sold as authentic. And, we watch folks gleefully buy the stuff.

Famous quote from 100 years ago ("The Octopus", Frank Norris);
Q. "On what basis do you calculate the rate for transporting goods by rail?"
A. "All the traffic will bear".

Chris:
I need to ask:
When I growing up in central NY there was a H-D shop between the villages of Mohawk
and Richfield Springs at the top of Vickerman hill. Joe Haynes Harley Davidson.
Great shop. Good People. Joe had, if I recall, two sons Mark "Jammer" and Chris that worked with him .
I was just wondering if you were any relation?

As I wrote a couple weeks ago, this stuff is rampant. Education is the key and the more you know the safer you are!
If you are a new collector of vintage motorcycle memorabilia don't fall for this phony junk! More and more of this kind of stuff is appearing on eBay. Be careful! https://www.ebay.com/itm/284590958887?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D89033307118c4f81850cce5213579Robbie Knight Amca #2736
