The contributions, products, and commitments the Isams have made to this hobby, and the old motorcycle passion are beyond description. All we can say is thank you, because C.D saved countless old motorcycles, and helped thousand of people. I could go on and on, but people that have pre-1930 Harleys know what a huge void the Isams filled. I wouldn't dare to speculate on how many J era Harleys would be rotting away, or outright-right gone without Competition Distributing, and the passion of the Isams.

It is my understanding the business was bought out by Tom Banks and is being moved to Pittsburg.

Well said Eric! I know i would have had a difficult time putting together my 1920's JD Board~Track Motorcycle without the Isams & C.D. staff.

Wow 52 years that is dedication.
I never had the pleasure of doing business with them but 52 year legs suggests; quality, customer service and commitment.

My first contact with Competition was at the old shop in the commercial area around the Houston airport in 1977. I had ridden out from NM to see a friend and was told they were guys into 'old stuff". The info was true!

correct. Tom, George, & Sean already moved the bulk of the parts to their new location & will have the business up & running in the next couple weeks.
