I'm going with Indian Model O, they were made in 1917, '18, and '19 but I don't know what the year is of the one on the plane/ Cool pictures!

I would say it is a 1917 Model O Indian.

Like the Harley-Davidson Sport of the same era. I've heard the Indian Model O called the 'Model Nothing'. Too bad they didn't get any traction as they were both excellent small bikes but as history has taught us; we Americans don't like anything until another country sells our ideas back to us
