  • Schebler AMX14 Carburetor

Does anyone have information on the application of a Schebler AMX-14 carburetor? It is an aluminum body barrel style carb that I picked up this weekend at the AMCA Chesapeake meet. It has a brass “bean pot” style bowl and the AM-13 casting number air horn. It has a up/down two bolt flange.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
I’ll try to post a few pics in the upcoming days.

Mark, I thought this chart might hold the answer but it doesn't.
It has AMX 6, 12 and 13 but no 14.but it does give you the cross reference from Schebler to the motorcycle factory number and what carb superseded what.
It came from the local Palmerston North Schebler agent many years ago.
The back page of this booklet has this advert on it that I thought might be of interest on here. Schebler chart.jpgSchebler advert.jpg

Thanks for the info Tommo. Same situation here. Can’t find ANY mention of it in my literature collection either. Even an internet search is coming up empty.

The two-bolt flange may be our only clue, Mark!

Are the bolt holes square to the center axis of the carb body, or skewed at an angle like some GXs?

(Note that the bowl deck on the left would be level when installed, and the throtlle assembly vertical, but both nozzle 'well' and manifold flange are at different angles.)

The bolt pattern is straight up and down (vertical)
