This is my winter project. If all goes as planned, this should be our new facility in the U.S. and open March 2007.

I have an 80" ULH motor, stock spring fork, and a mess of other junk that could make a passable stock 1947 Big Twin flathead from a few feet away. But I will have to take the blown Panhead motor out of it first -- plus I am very lazy.

So Earl, what project(s) are you working on?

              Hmmmm???????

I'm having trouble deciding between my 1904 Harley prototype, my 1905 Harley racer, or my 1906 Harley twin.

AHHHH, HA, HA, HA, HA !!!!!!

That was a good one, wasn't it !!!!!

Actually, I've got to get serious about my Harley 1936 VLH project.

BUT, I think I mentioned in a thread earlier, that in order to do a project, I feel that 3 things are essential:

                1.) Time
                2.) A place
                3.) Money

I've always been missing one of those important ingredients.

And, I just got laid off again. DARN. So now my priority is scrambling like crazy to get my next position, so that I won't have to piece out my VLH to pay bills.

So, everybody please say a prayer that I get my next job soon !!

                THANKS,

                  Earl,

You are such a jokester! Who would possibly believe that you are working on the recreation of the >LOST< 1904 Harley proto (Neg. 599 bike); the 1905 low-bar racer (Line Drawing bike); and the 1906 proto V-twin (A.T.C. p.103) all at the same time?

Next you'll be telling us you've given nicknames to those projects and the twin is named "Walter" and the proto single is named "Earl!"

If so, what is the nickname for the '05 racer?

                  Arthur?

Sorry to hear about the job loss. Hang in there. A better one will hopefully come along. My best wishes are with you. Believe it.

Try not to part-out that VLH if at all possible!

PS: Did you make Davenport? Find anything for your, er, projects?

                          P.S. How's that knuckle running?

                            haha

                            sounds like fun, once...

the knuckle is almost dialed, i had to move one of my petcocks coz it was in the way of the carb linkage and it wouldnt run right with a t in the fuel line coz the carbs are on different levels...
and my painter has the tank

                            and

i had to pull the front head off and weld my intake manifold to the head, with the carb out at an angle that heavy linkert constantly trying to unscrew itself, even with the support i made!
                            so
its gettin welded solid, so no more intake leaks!
and i got some floats from Cotten, so i can throw them in too
                            and
im waiting for my new motor sprocket to show up
then i can bore it and weld in a tapered insert so it will bolt to the motor, it was too small, 25 teeth, i have a 29 tooth one comin from a 750 triumph

but if all goes right ill take to to el camino, ill probably end up just ridin my pan down though
even though the swap has gotten pretty bleak the last few years
