I just picked up a very nice 49 panhead. The only strange thing is the belly numbers they look legit to me. But can anyone explain it. Belly numbers are "94" I attached pictures. motor numbers look 100% good. P.S the last digit on motor number is hidden.

I've seen NOS replacement cases with 3 styles of bottom numbers. A single alphabetic character, 2 numeric digits or the typical number found on most OEM cases like 149-####. -
I have a set of NOS replacement cases for knuckles that have just # 27 on them for belly numbers. Never been used for a build. From what I was rold the numbers were to show that they were a matched set.
