I need some help identifying a nos fender tip light that I purchased at Oley. I thought it was the one for my 47 FL but the base and wiring is different than the one that originally came on a 1947. Is this an earlier year or later than 47 year light. The quality and age lead me to believe it is genuine OEM and the glass matches the oem glass on my 48. Any help would be appreciated and it is for sale or trade for some OEM parts needed for my 47

Is it marked "Guide PH6"? And is it brass? If it's old and brass (looks pretty pristine) but not marked then it might be Indian.

...maybe someone else will chime in here who knows better than I, but I thought the HD fender lights were marked and that an HD base was slightly different than an Indian base (though I don't recall the difference)

The early unmarked Guide lights were universal, same for H-D and Indian along with any automotive application you desired. It was not until ,postwar that any markings on the body appeared, with the PH-6 being exclusively H-D.

Thanks guys for the input. I know the cover is chrome plated brass and the lens has a #2 on the top. I’m sure I will find someone who needs it for their motorcycle. I jumped the gun and thought it was an exact replacement for my 47 FL.
