  • IOLA International Vintage Motorcycle Show and Swap

We were wondering how the 2006 IOLA Vintage Motorcycle
    Show and Swap Meet went?

It was scheduled for last Friday through Sunday and there
were "4,200 swap shop spaces," advertised which is five
times what we have at Davenport. So it had to be pretty big.

Anybody attend it? It was in Iola, Wisconsin. Sounded huge.

I arrived at the 3rd Annual Iola International Vintage Motorcycle Show & Swap Meet Sat. morning at about 9. It was billed as a three day meet and was sponsored by the Vintage Japanese and European Mptorcycle Club There were around 100 vendors . The show had about 25 bikes. In fairness, it was cold and threatening rain . I left after about an hour. It was NOT Davenport. However give it a few years. The Iola Old Car show is huge. The infra structure is certainly there to support a gathering 2 to 3 times as large as the Davenport meet.

As with any show of this kind....and definitely in regards to our own smaller AMCA venues...all you have to do is just SHOW UP...VEND IT...SUPPORT IT with you enrty fee and it'll be a success everytime regardless of the size. Hrdly
