Finding Your Old Bike

I would love to find my first motorcycle - 64XLCH2136. I was wondering if anyone has attempted to find a motorcycle by researching its VIN number.

Can anyone advise me as to how to track down the current owner of a specific machine? I live in NY and I doubt that the Motor Vehcile Department would be very helpful...but you never know.

Bill, If you have an officer friend, he has the tools to locate it. In most states this is not a legal use of motor vehicle tools but even so, an officer friend may do it for you. Paps
