Can anyone suggest a good cam for a generator shovel with .01" pistons, 8.5/1 compression, stock valves with hydraulic lifters and exhaust? I'm leaning towards an Andrews J, but any other suggestions would be helpful.

I put a J in my '69FL 55K miles ago and I like it. Bike pretty stock with +.03 low comp pistons, stock valves, lifters, and exhaust. I don't hot rod, performance is good at acceleration and top end is what you would expect with a stock bike of that era in my opinion.
