Tearing my '68 down for a rebuild. Took the rear bumper apart and found these screws holding the bumper bracket on. I wonder how many years after this the MoCo used these?

So it appears according to the Bruce Palmer book the CP, Chandler Products bolts, were used up into the '70s but it was a mixture with circle F and Rockford grade bolts. The CP 1035 first appeared in 1942 manuals but in all models in 1943, with some H-D bolts. In 1947 CP 1038 bolts first appeared as CP 1035 bolts ran out so a mixture there. Harley made their own nuts and bolts before these and on occasion later so again another bit of a mixture. The 1035 and 1038 refer to the grade of steel.Last edited by KNUCK; 01-14-2021, 12:01 PM.#7558 Take me on and you take on the whole trailer park!
