I'm looking for the first XLCH Sportster that I owned on Long Island in the late 1960's - VIN No. 64XLCH2136. If anyone has this bike or knows of its whereabouts please let me know.

Bill - not sure if you saw my email with the website/forum I suggested when you were working through the idle tube issue on the Linkert. Here was my message
Code:Hey I wanted to make you aware if you weren’t already about the Harley K Model website. It is dedicated to the Ks and early Sportster through 1969. A friend and fellow AMCA member Dave Hennessey from Highlands Chapter started and facilitates it. It has a great technical nature to the website and it has a forum that is pretty busy. I think it is a place you could get some good intel on your idle tube for the Linkert. Here is the link to the home page and then just hunt around for the subscribe function. http://harleykmodel.com/index.html
