Now Mike if you went to all the trouble to dig it out of the creek, you know you'd keep it!!!

And Inline I just read an article about a fella who picked up a '28 JD and a bunch of other parts back in the 50's for $5..... I know it was still a bit of money back then, but it makes one drift off into dreamland. I think there was a time that you sought out the treasure and collected the bounty. Nowadays, you seek out the treasure and then pay big bucks for it! Carbs are like gold it seems!

THERE WAS A BARE 1910 CYLINDER THAT WENT FOR $6,600 NOT TOO LONG AGO.

SO $30K FOR A WHOLE MOTOR SEEMS LIKE A DEAL!!!

Didn't a 1908 complete bike sell for $320,000 in 2003? Makes the '09 motor seem almost reasonable. We may find it has gone to an AMCA member who knew what he was buying. Not that our hobby is about the money of course..
