I don't have mine yet, either. However, this is consistent with the slowdown in mail implemented by the Postmaster in July in the run up to the election, in which hours were reduced and over 700 mail sorting machines removed.

He had more machines scheduled to be removed before Congress stepped in, but none of the machines were replaced. Anyway, the delivery delays are well documented even though, of course, people argue about the cause of the delays.

Still waiting in Chicago. In fact, I haven't received any mail in more than 10 days.

Remember when letter carriers were respected and trusted because the mail was so regular? The Hope Diamond was sent to the Smithsonian in a parcel box. . .could you imagine trusting the post office that way today?

My mail arrives in a timely fashion and daily. Maybe that is a difference in Rural America.

You can thank Congress and President Bush for that. An Act passed in 2006 forced accounting changes on the post office that immediately caused them to bleed red and have to significantly curtail services. Unlike any other business, the Act forced them to fully fund the pension of every new hire the moment they were hired, rather than over the working lifetime of the employee. These changes put the post office at a disadvantage with respect to UPS and FedEx and, whether or not it was the intention, and it is widely accepted that it was, were a big step toward trying to hand mail delivery to private companies.

The Sept./Oct. Antique Motorcycle which was online in early September, as I recall, came by mail on Nov. 4th. I think a day or 2 later the online Nov./Dec Antique motorcycle was available and said the printed one was "in the mail". No Nov./Dec. issue so far. Used to be in a couple of weeks - but who knows these days?
