Ebay bikes

Guys i want your honest opinion on this...What due u guys think of those board tracker replicas on ebay ? For say 2k to 2600.00 bux, I see a few independent makers online for 4k to 6k...what due u guys recommend ? No way i can afford the real thing...thanx i value your guys that have been doing this for years opinion. brett

If I was wanting to get into the hobby for a tight budget I would much prefer for an old jap or english bike,maybe even a vintage scooter like a vespa or lambretta,but those replicas are of no interest to me.
I have seen some at local car shows and they seem to attract interest but mostly from those not familiar with old motorcycles.

`I have 2 bikes a 73 sporty and a 2018 harley freewheeler, its not like i dont have anything to ride, im just interested in the very early bikes, Ive been reading the Speed Kings, excellent book......I guess when swap meets actually start again ill be able to look for frames pieces and parts. When i say tight budget how can i justify it too my better half spending 60+k???lol Thanx for your input....brett

i think they are lame, just a waste of money.
you would be far better off buying an early J or JD & stripping it down or making a cut down out of it.
this can be done for well under 20k if you are resourceful & not in a hurry.

fwiw, i only have $22K in my Frank build. Where did you come up with a $60K figure unless you are not doing any of your own work...
