  • Tapped block paint

Any ideas or thoughts on what paint to use on my tappet blocks for a factory type finish?
    Thanks Don

    Don,
There are a lot of paints out there, by personally, I've always preferred Harley-Davidson Heat Resistant Silver. I don't have much reason to be seen in a Harley Davidson Dealership these days, except for '36 batteries and some of their aerosol products - they're of the highest quality (and priced accordingly).
I assume that your looking for silver it its for tappet blocks...

How does it handle fuel drooling on it, Bill?

          Thanks, Pan620!

I imagine the MOCO would blame it upon 'poor preparation'.

          But P4gas rules.

          Usually.

Yes, and the oil pumps too. It started pre-war (for us anyway) due to aluminum rationing. No silver paint.
