  • Daven-port!

    Sorry if this rubs anybody,..

But its Davenport time again, Folks!

    http://www.chiefblackhawk.org/

For the first time, I'm bringing some personal stash, like a John Brown and an RM.
    And Milwaukee gems too.

So please drop by at booth AG30, close to the race gate, opposite the little white schoolhouse 'museum'.
    (Look for tired cafe umbrellas...)

    Hope to see you there!

      Cotten,
Hope to track you down there and pick your brain a bit. Will you have peek seals and floats with you ?
This will be my first time at Davenport. About a 2,300 mi. drive. Hopefully I have no problems and will get there
by Monday or Tuesday and rest up a bit before swap meet.

      Good luck to all.

I've cut seven kinds of floats, Rod!

PEEK seals are something I must cut "one-off" for each manifold, as often the manifold needs work.

          Otherwise, its one-size-fits-none.

I will have Chief manifolds fitted and ready, though, and kits for Power-Plus's with the proper gasket.
And maybe a WL, a -33 V, and a K/WR if Colony ever sends back my nuts.

              Cotton,
I guess I should have supplied more info. Am working on a 40EL, original manifold M-25 carb. Sounds like seals are out How about a float?
              Thank you.

                As I posted, Rod,

I'll have seven kinds of floats.

If you had gotten the manifold to me a week ago, I could have outfitted it by the Meet.

(If you didn't need new nuts, that is. Reproductions vary widely, and I fit the seals to the nuts as well as the manifold spigots).
