All the very best in the coming New Year to all my AMCA brothers and sisters and might I add those are some of the first California Highway Patrol (CHP) motor cops. I believe 1927 was when the County Patrols (you furnished your own motor) last was officially in service and 1928 was when the state of California first organized the CHP who was officially the enforcement arm of the DMV ( Department of Motor Vehicles). There's another photo taken around the same time of the Rascals with a CHP patrolmen on his KJ with an American Bantam sedan next to it.
