Greeting's, just curious what You guys think of...T.R.O.G.?

Also, some food for thought. I find it strange that when i go to 'Quick Links' --'Who's Online', there is usually never more than a dozen members, but the guest's are staggering, sometimes 50 to our 1.. By the way, this Forum is partially open to anyone, w/o signing in on anything???

I race with them and think it is a great event. Though it was not the reason I got involved with motorcycles, that was my brother when we were teenagers, but it is the catalyst for me going backwards and getting involved in the Vintage scene. After attending one event, the wife and I were hooked and had the mighty 45 Flathead purchased two months later. This started a 4 year love/hate relationship with that bike and me racing with TROG five times now including the West Coast event in Pismo. This emergence in the Vintage scene also pushed me into getting my 1970 FLH so her and I can ride two up to events. It got me to join the AMCA and happy to say we were at 5 national Events this year. We like the people on this side of the fence better then the tough guy wanna be bikers.

All good as far as I am concerned, curious to see comments from others.

The first year my girlfriend and I attended, the event was held in Allenhurst, it was a disaster. I told her they should do it in Wildwood where the beaches are much wider and way more places to stay. Viola they moved the TROG to Wildwood in Oct for year two and it was great. We attended for several more years even attending the first year they moved it to June. Another disaster, school children, Legionaires, high prices, it was IMHO horrible. We no longer attended. For 2019 it has been moved back to Oct, hooray! We will once again attend. I do not know if it will fall on the same weekend as Chesapeake's event, hope not. I know that TROG is now a la carte, that sucks, but it should be offset by reasonable prices for rooms and parking. The only other problem can be the weather in Oct. I will brave the weather just knowing I will not have to deal with school children. I welcome the move to Oct as it has become one of the last rites of riding season and a fun way to wind it down.
