One interesting development from the Cannonball has been first time Cannonball Run participant #9 Chris Tribbey and his 1911 Excelsior singles cylinder and belt drive motorcycle. Has had led up till yesterday when he had trouble with his exhaust valve requiring a repair. It dropped Chris to 66th place. Bummer. i was hoping he's stay the course and win. a pretty much bare belt drive 1911 single riding on clincher rims is about as impressive as it can get.

there must be considerable pressure on someone leading especially on the earliest bike there as there are a couple of big hills that he has to push it for some time, he's still very positive and win or not it's the journey i feel where the real victory and kudos will come from.
