I've got those on one of my dirt bikes. The good thing is you can run just a few psi of air in the tires without the tire spinning on the rim. It makes for great traction. The bad side is, when I go out to ride it, the tires are always flat. As for old bikes, I'm not sure. Are you thinking clinchers?

Hey Kevin
After a second look ,you would need to drill another hole in the rim .It uses 2 air valves one for the tube itself and one for the tire air

Yes, you do have to drill another hole. I wouldn't want to do that on an old original rim. To be honest, after having tried these, I next time I will probably use traditional rim locks on a dirt bike. Simpler, cheaper, they say there's a weight savings but at my skill level it's probably not enough to matter.
