Though less common, sometimes legitimate old bikes do show up on craigslist. Some just don't want the hassle of ebay. I found mine on CL by doing nationwide searches. Drove 1000 miles to get it. Some folks use [/url]https://www.searchtempest.com/[/url] for nationwide searches and a couple local guys have also found decent deals on CL as well as sold very nice bikes on local CL. You just have to be persistent and consistent in your searches and be educated and prepared to buy quick because good ones won't last long.
Of course with anything found on CL there can be scams but those are pretty easy to vet.
