  • Need to park my trailer w/bike in it for 36 hrs near Newark NJ on Sun 8 July

    Hi folks

I am doing a bit of traveling next weekend and will have my bike in a trailer. I need to drive into Manhattan on Monday, and am nervous about leaving it in the hotel parking lot all day. Anyone know any (secure) short-term storage places near Newark? Or maybe one of you fine folks will let me park it in your driveway. It's an 8'x12' tandem enclosed Mission trailer.

If you prefer email (and I suppose I do as well), just send to: mark@hunnibell.net

    Thanks in advance.

I use Spot in Newark for offsite airport parking on a regular basis. It's a secure lot, but not sure if they'll let you leave a trailer there. It's airport parking and they take you on a shuttle to the airport. Could call and ask.

Port Imperial in Weehawken is another possible choice, it's right before the Lincoln Tunnel:

If I had the room I would let you park, but my driveway is not big enough.

        Walmart would not be secure.

Check with storage unit locations that have outdoor spots for boats, motor homes, cars, etc. with fence & security. They may allow short term parking for one month rent?

Now that Bill said this. There is a storage place in Secaucus NJ along route three one mile from the Lincoln Tunnel that has secure grounds. I pass it daily and see boats and such. I do not know the name but how many storage facility could be in Secaucus. Bob L

I am looking for a car moving company and saw that Horseless Carriage Transport in that NJ area has secure car parking and storage. Perhaps they will take the trailer.

Horseless would be a good option, it's right off Route 80. From there, it's a quick ride to the GWB. They have been there for a long time, so that's a good sign.
