i'found this tool /part in my shop years ago and never paid much attention to it recantly i tried figure out what it is i am not going to say what i think it is till i get some feedback it is not motorcycle related but it is automotive related

Looks like a stamp for date coding something with the month/year in 1956. -
you are correct i think surrette is a battery company so i'm thinking the batteries were stored dry so when you fill and charge you would stamp it 1 year warranty so this stamp was good for 1 yearOriginally posted by Peter Cooke View PostComment

It don't think it was a stamp, I think ya heated that thing up and branded the battery. They were plastic and really didn't like being beat on.Comment
