I have a gas tank that has a cap that looks like the oil tank cap on 65 and up Big Twins, looks factory to me or a very nice installation job, did the factory ever offer a tank with that style of cap? Thanks Dave

No Dave, not as anything standard. K model tanks use a large diameter gas cap that is about that size, perhaps someone just stuck an oil cap on a K tank. How about a picture?

Thanks Robbie, I could not recall seeing one but thought I was maybe getting old! My only thought was what you suggest, It looks something like a over grown XL tank, will see if my nephew will post a picture for me.Thanks again Dave

A picture will clear things up but I wonder if you are describing a KRTT or XLRTT gas tank.

Here is a KRTT tank, uses a normal K model cap.

Hi Robbie. Do you know the nick name for those tanks?

It does not look like the KRTT tank Robbie posted. Still working on getting some pictures, It is on a chopper that was built in 1975 in Prescott AZ.
