Well folks they are still out there to find.
In the last couple of days this 1920 Harley was liberated from a shed here in NZ.
One family ownership from new, never restored and only missing the seat leather top.
It runs and no I'm not going to restore it but I will try and find a seat top that suits the rest of the bike.
The other no is that it's not for sale.

Well done Tomo. That is marvelous news. An important part of New Zealand's early motorcycling history.
If you get time I would love to see a video and hear the old tippityfart galloping down the road.

      Steve and Steve,
When I ran it the front exhaust pipe fell off and the connection where the two exhaust pipes join is a rusty mess that requires repairs before we actually ride the bike.
Both tyres hold air but are in a condition that makes it too dangerous to ride.
Once I fix these faults and the seat I will certainly ride it.
As for videos, facebook and all that stuff this fellow is just too old to learn those new tricks.

what part of the country Pete? as you know nz has a lot of shoreline so it would have needed to be inland a bit, and away from moisture too

Same part of the country as your Henderson came from.
About 2 miles inland from the coast.

looks like great fun ahead. I can only imagine what it must feel like to open a shed door and see something like that sitting there. so far all I found were spider webs and furry little animals.
