    help identify these parts please

    A buddy has this air cleaner cover but we never saw one like it with the step. is this some kind of aftermarket replacement?

    and this air cleaner backing plate - it was not together with the cover. is that for a british bike? i have not seen one with that little scoop before...

      That's basically a Linkert Model DC backing plate, with the "scoop" for the choke mechanism, but the outer cover is certainly a bit more 'unique'.
      Quite lovely, whether "correct" or not!

          The cover is aftermarket. Notice no R in the circle as used on Gennie covers.
