  • Bonhams or Mecum, which have you used?

I'd like to get feedback from members who have sold their motorcycles at the Las Vegas Auctions using either Bonhams or Mecum.

I'd appreciate the feedback to come from members who have actually sold their antique motorcycles through these auction houses. I'm not looking for comments on auctions or members feelings on auctions, just honest feedback from members who have used it to sell a motorcycle rather than eBay or ad postings like craigslist, etc.

Let me know the positive or negative experience you had with either auction house.

    Thank you.

I too would like to hear some firsthand experience about the big Las Vegas auctions. I have heard that if you take your bike to the auction, you save a lot of money, and worry, but if you live in Penn. or Florida, you're looking at a long drive. I have also heard that some auction houses have rigged an auction to benefit a favored bidder. In other words, is the live auction in Las Vegas worth the aggravation, anxiety, and large fees, over selling on ebay?
