Hello Dan, they look like narrow '17 and later Harley-Davidson tanks. 1916 tanks would have a different shifter mount, and the 3 bottom tank lugs are cast brass, where the later are stamped brass, or steel. I love a challenge, but those tanks are shot, and the shifter mount is completely gone on the left tank. They are good wall hangers, but I think they are too far gone to save.
