from time to time there are posts about DAH racers. what does DAH mean?

It is merely internal H-D code for the engines, just like W, E, F, etc.
The D is the engine family, the A in that time frame usually designates magneto, and the H a high performance version of whichever engine. In this case an OHV (H) 750 (D) mag fired (A) hillclimber engine.
