  • Truing stand indicators

Bought a spare factory flywheel truing stand at an auction over the weekend and it's missing the indicators. Anyone know of a source for a pair of these? Thanks.

Someone likely has a bunch that came from Dixie. they had lots of them. I had an extra pair but lent them out and never got them back...

Just make a set. Nothing complicated.

Or just use cheap import magnetic-based dial indicators!

Not so nostalgic of course... But much more accurate.

PS: I have a 'factory' stand given to me, which naturally I never use, sans indicators. Should I bring it to Davenport?

Are you going to be giving it away also?

It was given to me, Rousseau!

              So it won't go to a parts-pirate.
Unless I trade it for something equally worthless.

I have trued flywheels between lathe centers using QUALITY AMERICAN MADE INDICATORS for over 40 years. I only asked for a source for stock indicators and not an opinion on nostalgia or accuracy. Shave your ass and walk on your hands and see if anyone notices.
