What is Barney riding?

I saw a funny episode of The Andy Griffith Show today titled "Barney's Sidecar". Looks like a J model between '25-'28. What is Barney riding?

My guess is 26 or 27. Tanks are 25 and up but it has wide fenders which is 26 and up. No front brake is 27 and down.....

Barney says it's a RJ 300.
At least they got the sound correct. Drives me crazy when it's a 4 stroke and sounds like a two stroke. Or, the revs don't match what the motor is doing.
