  • Looking for an old thread......

    Hello Group,

I recall reading a thread here in this forum a few or several years ago, authored by Steve Little.
After an hour of fruitless searching, I decided to go ahead and humbly ask for help.....

I am interested in the information Steve showed in his thread about removing/replacing the seat post tube on a rigid frame. I searched most all the threads started by Mr. Little, but never did find exactly what I am looking for. I know it is a complex and difficult process, and the presentation may have been part of a larger project Steve was working on.

I would very much like to 'look over the shoulder' of the master, and find that information. Any help....?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tom

Not sure if you will be able to find it because I don't see a search... but here is a link to the archived pages (do not click the View Full Version link at the top as it will only bring you back here):

I meant that after you click on that link I show above, there isn't a box to search in with the archived pages. OR is there??? 8^)

Oh, I just use the 'Advanced Search' box at the upper right of this page.

Hi Jim. I'd offer to come around but it's little bit far.
Post some pics, we might be able to do the job by correspondence.
              Regards Steve

Thank-you, Steve. (My name is Tom, by the way. But Jim is a good name, too.)

Morn'in Tom, we're off to a flying start. Apologies for the mis naming. And good morning to Jim as well.... no exclusions in this playground. The Seatpost assembly could be replaced, or we might get away with a repair section, but a snap of the damage will tell us, and then we can hunker down and rub the stubble on our chins while we asses our options.
                  Regards Steve
