The AMF needs your input!

Since its inception in 2007, the Antique Motorcycle Foundation has been able to carry out its mission because of the support of AMCA members, and we cannot thank you enough for that. In an effort to plan for our future endeavors, we'd like to hear from you about how you got interested in old motorcycles. We've put together a very short, 11-question survey and its findings should help to paint a better picture of what drives this industry that commands so much of our attention.

True to its mission, the foundation will share its analysis of the survey with the public on the AMF web site once it is complete. However, we need a larger sample, and that's where you can help.

Me too. However, it's not clear from the wording of a couple of the questions that the people who put it together understand there is a significant difference between a blog and a website like this one (I say this despite one question listing both as separate options).

I just looked at the survey in the magazine, seems like some of the questions are different from the on-line survey.
And . . . . the link shown in the magazine didn't work, wouldn't go to AMCA.

Surveys can be written to get a pre-ordained result. I think many of us have an idea of where this organization (club) has been going and this survey seems to reinforce that. I will say that I am happy that the AMCA still has vitality, and it is still fun on a social level. I have no idea where it will be in the future, but I hope it can keep the personal feel that it has always had.

OK, now I get it: "AMF" means Antique Motorcycle Foundation, not the company that used to own Harley-Davidson!
Seriously though, I did fill out and submit the survey.
I bet a lot of other members got into old bikes because they could not afford new ones. I'm lucky: I was able to save my old bikes.
