There's no time limit, I can leave it open for awhile if you want.

To Al and all others, Thank you for your support and making me realize how much the people in this Club care about each other when the chips are down. The Cannon Ball was one of the best and longest event I have been part of, I was on a Great Team with the Carson's, and the Team did very well to have finished as strong as we did with Two 2nd places in Two different classes.

The thieves had stolen our ability to enjoy the moments we should have shared with team mates after the finish. The mixed feelings has led me to become depressed over the loss of my tools, but my friends here have come to my aid with both financial and mental support, and I refuse to let this event stop what I have been doing in the Cherokee, Gulf Coast, Confederate, and Diamond Chapters, Destination Eustis 2015, Pate Swap meet, Denton Farms, Davenport, and maybe even return to Wauseon 2015.

I brought to the Cannon ball, things I felt I needed to bring or was asked to bring, for the success of the team like so many others did, and would I have done it differently? I do not do anything half hearted, sure I would and will do it again with tighter security measures. I am proud of my performance as Logistical Leader of the Support Crew, no one can steal that from me.

Again Thanks to all. Shelby Withrow, Membership and Events Director, Cherokee Chapter.

With my latest S.S. Check Gloria and I headed out for the local monthly flea market, and started the search for replacement tools, and was happy to find some older Craftsman tools among all the cheap foreign junk. We have been bidding on eBay and had some luck with machinist tools, not cheap but fair. I guess there are plenty of Machinists retiring or no longer employed who are selling their tools. Very few leads on Van Norman Boring Bar tool Kit except one on eBay for $1200 and is incomplete and over priced, will keep looking this fall.

Thanks to all that helped. Shelby

Shelby, I don't know anything about Van Norman tool kits, but I did a quick craigslist search in my local area and found this: http://sacramento.craigslist.org/tls/4653126063.html Not sure if it is what you are looking for or if the price is right, but if you called him and worked out a deal I could pick it up for you.

Thanks Eric, I called him and he will call me back on Monday when he is at his shop, it was his dad's bar. He had heard of the theft in Tacoma, a friend of his named Vic rode in it. He said he would work with me

There are two different 777 bars, early and late so we have to check it out, the tool kits will not interchange because of change in tool holder sizes. This is the first good positive lead so far.

Robbie if this does not work out I will let you know, If it is the wrong one it will not help me, but if it is the right one I will buy it just for the tool kit and spare parts for mine. So Glad people are still on the look out for us. Shelby
