What bikes in the movie Big Jake?

Watching a John Wayne movie, Big Jake. Has a bike in it and I was wondering what it was. Movies set in 1909, but was made in 1971. When I googled, a few surmised that it was a Honda Montessa? (One even said a Harley with a Montessa engine...)

Craig, I found this on the internet. . . . and we all know how everything on the net is true! The writer of the article notes Wayne riding an Indian Scout.....

The MC Wayne is riding looks nothing like the Indian with William Wells in the 2nd photo..... appears the writer of the article pulled what he thought was the most popular MC of the movie's time period. I'm not very knowledgeable with Indian history; but, I thought Indians of that era were equipped with torpedo shaped tanks?

Should be interesting seeing the comments....

Certainly looks like a Montesa Brio 110 motor. Frame looks pretty similar, too. Prop shop had fun with this one. But, hey, it's a movie. And who am I to do anything but sit back, suspend disbelief for a couple of hours, and enjoy The Duke!
