  • Police Motorcycle Museum, Meredith, New Hampshire

Finally visited the museum today. I had to run down to Holderness to look at an antique car... and added the museum to my trip.

I can't say enough good stuff about this museum! The collection is amazing and their bikes are fantastic. I only spent about 1.5 hours in the place and barely scratched the surface. I guess I wanted to save some for a trip down with some friends and/or my better half.

"Doug" and his wife have put together an outstanding venue for us antique bike fanatics. And I also will note that our forum friend Steve Slocombe has one of CHP VL's on display there. A lovely machine and very nicely presented!

Perhaps we should organize an AMCA day at the museum? How about it DanM?

    Cheers,

    Sirhr

I visited the museum last June for the first time while attending Laconia B/W. Doug has assembled a fantastic collection of vintage police machines and subject related collectibles. I finally found a place to send an odd ball M/C siren I picked years ago and could never identify!

Anyone visiting the area should stop by and spend an afternoon checking out Doug's place. Well worth the time!

I have a couple on my phone... which is a PITA. But I really didn't take many.

Chris, they do get in lots of donations/odd parts. If you haven't found that radio box you are looking for... you might drop them a note via their Web site. They do restorations on premises and just finished a cool Indian for Boston PD.

        Cheers,

        Sirhr
