The book is written. Now Bruce is laying it out. I am taking pictures of some parts he needs to show. He is creating the index. I believe he is finished through chapter six at this time. Hopefully it will be available later this summer.

Good news. Is he covering up to 64 again? Or adding 65 pan and shovelheads?

Regardless I'm chafing for a copy.

The main focus of the book is still 1937-1964. Although there is going to be some information on parts for other years. Charts for identification of parts with Hallmarks and casting numbers. Explanation of all the different types of date codes used. Bruce has put a ton of research time into this one. He is trying to get it ready for the printer by the end of this month.

The amount of space necessary to cover all the running changes in the 1936 and 1965 makes it impractical to add to this book, which is already over 900 pages.

All good - wish someone would treat a '65 in detail but that's a lot to ask. Still want his new book!

There is sooo much to write about a 1965. Many running changes. It just takes up too much space.

Hah - true that. Preaching to the choir :-) It was a long hard road getting my '65 restoration to it's current assessment at Oley last Month. Took a bunch of years to get it to this point. Almost 12. Still learning things. Just thinking maybe he took some level of effort to include it. There's a reason '65 is missing from any restoration books :-)

                              Alright Ray,
I nominate you to be the person to write the 1965 restoration guide. ;-)
