great museum
I live one hundred and fity four miles away, and i have been to the wheels through time 4 times this year. I love the place, I have been a member here only for about 6 months, So I am very much a newcomer to the antique seen, I recently aquired a 1967 servi-car which i will be riding to some road runs and chapter events come spring. As for the Maggie Valley area I would suggest the museum of course and some back roads and some parkway riding, Cherokee has a casino if you like gambleing, or gameing as it is called the politicly correct term. Not that far from Maggie is Asheville,NC. and The Biltmore House it's beautiful this time of year. Good Luck and Safe Journey on your travels.

I live in Knoxville TN. About 1and a half hours from Maggie Valley. Be sure to allow yourself at least 4 hours to tour the museum. It is beyond my ability to describe all the stuff to see at Dale's place. As far as riding goes, you will be near Cherokee as the gentleman has already said. Just a short hop over the Blue Ridge Parkway. From there you can ride over to Deals Gap and the infamous "Dragons Tail" US 129. Or go the opposite way into the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Visit Gatlinburg and Piegon Forge and Dollywood. Any of these are within 100 miles of Maggie Valley.
