  • reseaching home town motorcycle history:

Hi guys, have be going thru micro film at our library of our local paper . I'm back to 1909 and have one local dealer advertising. As most you you know most dealer started out as bicycle dealers, and selling anything else to make a buck. Anyways at the top of his ad, and this is how it's printed it reads[ Agency for "M.M." Motorcycle ]. I've looked thru my motorcycle books and haven't found any company that is abbreviated that way. Any one know what motorcycle company that would of been?

That's Marsh-Metz from Brockton, Mass. Great motorcycle and beautifully finished.

I see it now. I looked under Marsh and see that they were branded "M-M" . Thanks. This has been interesting . I'm enjoying finding out were this part of our local motorcycle history has grown out of.

Just found two photo post cards with three riders and motorcycles on a dirt road. Looks like early teens. Picture not close enough for good details but from fork and rounded gas tank I think they are M&M. Would post pictures but when I scan it never works

I would like to know if you noticed any mc race meets in Oshkosh, WI from 1938-53, or any other in WI. I have a listing of the dates these events were slated to occur. If possible I would like to get copies of the results of same. I can supply the dates.
