  • The Killinger and Freund Front Wheel Drive Motorcycle

I've come across this photo a number of times, but never paid much attention to it. Just another unusual European motorcycle. Then the unusual front wheel caught my eye and I did a little research on it. Turns out that the engine and transmission are all housed in the front wheel. It's an interesting piece of German engineering and worth reading about.

I bet it has a unique sound. I just wonder how much exhaust you would breath riding it in traffic. Like having three chainsaws running in front of you all the time.
