  • Regular springer length vs XA.

Does anybody know off the top of their head how much longer a XA/early WLA springer rear leg is when compared to a regular WL/EL/UL springer rear leg?

Roughly 2 1/4". If you need exact I will go out to the shop and measure.

        Jerry,
Here they are side by side. they are generally considered 2-3/8" different.

          Robbie,
Those are 45 springers, not big twin. One is a WLC and the other is a WL.

Are you building a 54 pan? Small fin heads, hydraulic lifter filter.

              Carl,
Did you note Jerry's question regarding XA/WLA forks?
And no, one is not WLC. WLC did not use the long fork.
One is WLA, the other is '40-early "41 WLA and South African WL. And whether Big Twin type or 45, the actual overall length of the forks is the same, the only differences being that the XA had a big stem but used 45 rockers and the ELC uses BT rockers..

                That is the plan Joe,
But like all my projects progress is slow..
