Arrived home to find these saddle bags waiting

I came home today to find my new saddle bags from Michael had arrived, man they are looking good and should suit my 42 very well. They are looking perhaps a little to good to let sit in the rain and weather, BUT to bad. I just have to now find the nerve to drill some holes.

Great looking saddlebags. They will look nice "weathered" too. ;^) What are those "shields"? They look like Police Badges, are the bags repros of a specific year H-D? I too have wondered if I had the "courage" to drill holes in my fenders for saddlebags. Then again, when I restored it, I welded up a BUNCH of holes in the rear fender.

Morning Jim, The bags are crafted by Michael at Worsham Castle, http://www.worshamcastle.com/, The glow brights are from me. The badges are military ones, aftermarket that I had nickle plated and sent to Michael. The bag with this badge is correct for at least 41 and 42, available out of the catalog. I believe I have the information correct. I find I am ridding my bike daily, I have loads of fun with it, it gets oily and dirty and that in itself keeps me busy as I do like clean, I am also wrenching on it all the time, seems something needs attention, then something else, This is exactly why I bought the bike and wanted to get into this. My only complaint is I am still working, grin, BUT I ride it to work and it has never let me down, starts every time 1st kick!
