    I don't always go off the MC topic, but this video is worth watching and reminds us why people who put on a uniform and serve to their nations and their communities are all special. Benevides died in 1998 from complications of diabetes. On the day he died, the major news stories in America were: Shortage of Furby toys... genetically engineered trout... and how a Russian vodka plant is being fought over. Wow... and America missed the passing of this guy totally.

    I just watched that on another site, truely amazing and I am sorry to hear that. I worry for our country for sure.

      I fear for my country as well.
      Watching this video brought tears to my eyes; for the agony he endured on our behalf, for the courage that I could only dream of having, and for lack of interest that our current administration has in showcasing the courage that others of late have undoubtedly displayed .
      Hero doesn't come close to describing Sargent Benevides and I am in awe.
