  • HD industrial engine in "For Sale HD"

I know the sales and want ads are seldom checked (I rarely go there), but "if you don't use it, it'll shrivel up and die", so go there today, and buy this rarest of finds! HD industrial engine! This one probably powered the paint pump that striped the Autobahn for Eisenhower's ride to meet Stalin in Germany!

It is Harley Davidson, scripted in the casting of the mag-drive cover.
I mailed in 8 pictures to the ads dept. and wrote a description (honest injun!). But I don't know how long it takes the ads folks to place it. My mail says it was received.
I'd mail to Cory if he gave me his address. Maybe he'd post them. The pix are interesting.

Why don't you just post them? It is easy...
And if you mailed them to the ads department they will be in the magazine, not on here.
Just go to for sale, open a new thread and post your ad and pictures.

I emailed them as per .. "ads@antiquemotorcycle.org" .. in the "for sale" classifieds on this web site
but I'll try it your way.

Can't get them off my i photo and onto anything but an email address (which I did as per forum instructions), or to facebook, or (2 other options that I'm not acquainted with).
If it's so easy why does everybody bother Cory when they want to share pictures?!!
I was born with a knucklehead, alright,.. just not the kind you can ride.

                  Check your messages Phil...

I've seen that photo before Robbie but it's cool to see it again. That must have been a great visit!

Wow - Nice complete engine. I have similar model but it is peeled of just about everything and badly corroded. Mine is only good for 'distressed lawn art'.

A bit of trivia here 'What year did HD first put aluminum heads on an engine.' Well - everybody will tell you 1940 but this engine wins - 1932. Bill Rodencal at the HD archives has some history on the 3 series of engines made for industry but in general information is scarce.

(I'm not trying to stay in the headlines here, believe me)
I tried to get this ad into the web site's HD For Sale dept.
How do you get this done? It's not there yet. Must it appear in the mag first?
Mag don't have anything to say about e=bay, ....
Why isn't there a "technical difficulties thread" (cuz too many idiots like me would overload it!)
