Info on the Brookfield Meet is posted in at least 2 locations on this forum and is on the Empire Chapter web site which is linked through this AMCA web site. Perhaps the Empire Chapter prefer the low-key, word-of-mouth approach to publicity for what is one of the real old style local vintage bike meets held - as such were long years ago - in small rural county fairgrounds hidden "back in the hills".
Worth a 1,000 km road trip to attend, in my view. See you there.

Perhaps it not an AMCA event?

maybe there is a reason there has to be a supershow and the regional shows are weaker- What happened to Colonial? I mentioned it and someone laughed. .

The Empire Chapter dumped the national after bad blood over Rhinebeck (Smart humans!) as I've been told. You will not find Brookfield meet listed on the AMCA meet roster. I my self could give a rats ass. It's still the best meet out of all of them. It's the only meet that I don't care it I make a penny at and I still will haul all my wares in support of the chapter. Brookfield is an AMCA Empire Chapter event. Go to http://www.empirechapter.com for information.
The event is held at the Madison Co. Fairgrounds on the North-East edge of the village of Brookfield, NY.

Go to http://www.madisontourism.com/hamilt...es%20to%20Stay for places in the Brookfield area, mostly around the town of Hamilton. Probably pretty limited availability as this week is the big antique sale week up on route 20 at Madison, about 15 miles from Brookfield. A massive antique meet with about 2000 vendors. Even saw some old motorcycles for sale there as we went through Madison on the Thursday last year. You might try in locations east of Brookville over towards Cooperstown as that is farther away from Madison.

Good camping at the Brookfield fairground, good washrooms, restaurant on the grounds and just a 10 minute stroll to the centre of Brookfield where there is a small store, restaurant, bar, post office, jail and fire hall. Have camped there, never looked for a motel, so I can't advise on what is a good one.

Will be there Thursday by suppertime.

I hven't been to the Brookfield meet for 10+ years. As I recall the gates did not open until Friday morning. Is it still that way?
