    Al Knapp

    Al Knapp

Iron man Al Knapp a great motorcycle sportsman know for racing Harley 45" WR's has thrown in his steal shoe. Al raced from youth to well into his 80's when he was side lined due to a fall and consequential broken hip while shoveling snow at his Michigan home. For me I will miss conversations with Al and his perpetual smile.

It's always sad to hear of the passing of another legend.

Al Knapp will be missed at the Wauseon Meet and AAIMC happenings. A great guy, a great racer, they don't make 'um like that anymore. RIP Old Friend.

I've known Al for 30 years and he was the best. In recent years we would BS (meaning I would listen to him) about racing history and some of the innovations he was responsible for. I will miss seeing him in Wauseon each year...
