if this is a base price sadly polaris will be the next group to fail with the indian line.

I would be surprised if any are ever available at "base price". I suspect it will be a fair bit higher on the floor...

They are very sharp looking bikes. And the price has come down some, but I would think that in order to penetrate the market more effectivley they would have to come down a bit more in order to compete with the company that they are trying to compete with. HD is tried and true and will be around a while, with the needed support of it's line. Consumers may be a bit reluctant to buy an Indian until the are more assured of it's survivability and future support. I love the Indian styling with only the exception of it's headlight shape(I like round headlights on motorcycles). I am also sure that they will be reliable, but it will be hard to pry die hard, long time Harley entyhusiasts away from their tried and true Harleys, especially with the additional cost of purchasing an Indian. I wish them the best though.
