Tennessee "Yellow Jackets"

An interesting police unit to say the least. The "Yellow Jackets" were formed in 1958 and last about 6 months. During that time they did set a fashion trend that was copied for years to come. Anyone ever seen an actual "Yellow Jackets" motorcycle?

I picked up a yellow primary cover a few years back, it's a bit banged up but at the risk of calling it original paint I couldn't help but think that the paint had been on it for a very long time.

There is one of the jackets at the HD store in Columbia TN. Ricky Kelley used to have it on display at the Cool Springs store.
